Additional Details

first edition of a scarce regimental history, written by its members. The 19th trained replacements for troop losses abroad, as well as caring for huge numbers of victims of the terrible influenza pandemic of 1918-1920. Camps like Jackson were needed to handle the sheer volume of sick, dying and dead. The 19th also had a large 'minstrel' troupe, illustrated at a centerfold on pages 69-70.
