(KENT STATE SHOOTING) A collection of approximately 38 images on the subject of the anti-war protests at Kent State, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning image by John Filo of Mary Ann Vecchio leaning over the body of Jeffrey Miller.
The collection contains press photographs from the actual 4-day protest, the 1972 memorial demonstrations, the subsequent trial of the National Guardsmen, and stills from a televised reenactment of the event. Silver prints, the images measuring 7x9 to 10 1/2x11 inches (17.8x22.9 to 26.7x27.9 cm.), and the reverse, the sheets slightly larger, some with a wire service caption in the negative, most with a photographer's credit, date hand stamp, various press hand stamps, written caption, caption label, or newspaper clipping, on verso. 1970-81
