Condition A. Framed.
Danish painter, stage designer, illustrator and poster designer Sikker-Hansen, also decorated the Danish Pavilions at the 1935 World's Fairs in Brussels, the 1937 fair in Paris and the 1939 fair in New York. He worked for the Danish newspaper, Politiken, and also for the FDB (Danish Consumers Cooperative Society). His work for the FDB has become iconic; this image still appears on packages of coffee sold by the group in Denmark. "Sikker-Hansen's style was poetically dreamy with softly-toned drawings of romantic figures, whether they were children or natives from some other country . . . the Cirkel coffee girl has become synonymous with not only the coffee but also as a symbol of the classic post-war FDB" (Dansk Design p. 526 ff).
