ABRAM GAMESBEA OLYMPIC GAMES LONDON. 1948.
39 1/2x25 inches. Baynard Press, [London].
Condition B+: slight paper loss in top margin and in image; restoration in corners.
An image combining an airplane and a track that captures the essence of the whirl of a plane's propeller. Although not an official Olympic poster, this image uses the London Olympic games as the selling point for travelling to Britain. Games' reputation as a graphic designer had grown during World War II when one of his posters, the "Blonde Bombshell", was deemed too sexy and inappropriate an image for war time and by an act of Parliament was recalled and destroyed.
