ADOLPH TREIDLER (1886-1981) BERMUDA. 39x28 7/8 inches, 99x73 1/2 cm. Condition B+: repaired tears, creases and restoration in margins and image. Matted and framed. Treidler's long and varied career saw him working on many large advertising campaigns; he designed propaganda posters during the First World War, worked for the French Line and Furness Lines, and was also employed by the Bermuda Board of Trade to help promote the island. Here in breathtaking pastels that include oleanders and Bermuda's famed pink sand, Treidler captures the brightness of the golf green as well as the blue hues of the Atlantic Ocean.
