ALBERT BRENET (1905-2005) LAMBRETTA. 30 3/4x45 3/4 inches, 78x116 1/4 cm. Mirambeau, Paris. Condition A-: minor repaired tears at edges; minor stain in lower margin. Brenet was a painter who studied at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris. His childhood love of ships led him to become an accomplished marine painter. Within the poster world, he primarily worked for travel companies designing posters depicting ocean liners and planes. This is one of the few posters designed by Brenet not to feature a large, commercial form of transportation.
