Cyanotypes, the images measuring approximately 10x8 inches (25.4x20.3 cm.), and the reverse, the sheets slightly larger, some with a numeric notation in the negative. Circa 1885-95
Albert Lévy was a French photographer active in the 1870s-90s. A pioneer in architectural photography, he focused his work in Europe and the United States. He produced a catalog containing 2,500 titles covering France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United States. He was one of the first photographers to have a studio on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, in Paris and New York.
