ALBERT SOLON (1897-1973) FARMAN - SABENA / BALTIC AIR EXPRESS. Circa 1931. 39 1/4x24 1/2 inches, 99 3/4x62 1/4 cm. Solon-Maton, Paris. Condition A: minor tears in lower right corner. Solon specialized in aviation posters. For a while he worked under contract with Farman Airlines, and later went on to design memorable images for Air France, KLM and Lufthansa. Baltic Air Express, originally connecting Antwerp and Malmo, was a subdivision of Sabena which began operating in 1931.
