Additional Details

An appealing illustration for Austin's holiday drama. With a nod to the famous Brandywine illustrator, she added "After Wyeth" to the outlaw's caption. San Francisco native Wheelan was the head costume designer for David Belasco as well as a popular syndicated cartoonist of "Rabbitboro" and "The Dumbunnies" inspired by Lewis Carrol's March Hare and White Rabbit. Her work appeared regularly in Harper's Bazaar, Harper's Young People, St. Nicholas, and The New York Herald Tribune.
