Additional Details

Reprint of the popular compendium of information on natural history and artistic subjects. The part titled Mineralibus treats stones, minerals, ores, and gemstones, with comments on appearances and properties, plus spiritual and medicinal virtues that they were deemed to possess. It was a fundamental treatise, widely distributed and read, and provided a source of information for generations of writers after its first appearance in Padua in 1476--Sinkankas 55.
