Woodcut printed in black on light blue laid paper, 1521. 240x174 mm; 9 1/2x6 3/4 inches, thread margins. A brilliant, early, richly-inked proof impression of this very scarce woodcut, aside from the book editions with text verso, with strong contrasts and no sign of wear. Ex-collection Ambroise Firmin-Didot (Lugt 119, verso); J. Peoli (Lugt 2020, verso); and unknown collector, red ink stamp lower right recto (not in Lugt). Bartsch 162; Meder 285.
