Woodcut, 1505-07. 264x206 mm; 10 3/8x8 1/8 inches, thread margins. Second state (of 2), with the monogram center. Double-headed eagle watermark (Meder 219, which he dates to around 1570). A superb, richly-inked Meder 2b impression, with the border around the monogram complete and with very strong contrasts.
An extremely scarce woodcut; we have found only 3 other impressions at auction in the past 30 years. Bartsch 142; Meder 276.
