This pamphlet was the first issued by the Alcoholic Foundation after the "Big Book." It consists of a short introduction, six articles reprinted from the Houston Press, the Twelve Steps, and an article by physician W.D. Silkworth. Some sources credit early Houston AA member Larry Jewell as the author of the newspaper articles. The introduction boasts: "Rapidly growing, now numbering about five hundred, our Fellowship is spreading throughout the country." Membership is now estimated at nearly two million.
