Italian born Cosomati studied graphic arts in Germany and Switzerland before he settled in London around 1920. His image for Hampton Court shows "the Tudor facade [of Hampton Court] in silhouette dominated by the figure of King Henry VIII, who seized the palace from Cardinal Wolsey in 1529 and enlarged it for his own use."
