With a study of Roman soldiers gambling for Christ's robe in pen and brown ink and purple wash, verso. Inscribed "esquisse de . . . dal Tintoretto" in ink, lower right recto, and "da Allesandro Maganzi" in ink, verso. Ex-collection H. W. Fichter, Frankfurt.
Both are drawn after works by Tintoretto and likely date from around 1572-76, when Maganza was working in Venice and studying paintings by contemporary masters.
