Engraving, 1523. 230 mm; 91/8 inches (diamteter), thread margins. First state (of 2), before the erasure of the monogram, the lower right pedestal and the word "VTRICHT." Ex-collection W.H.F.K. Graf von Lepell (Lugt 1672, verso), his sale at Hollstein & Puppel, Berlin, October, 1929, lot 312, to Colnaghi, London, with their pencil inscription verso; and Kupferstichkabinett, Berlin (Lugt 1606, 204 and 2922, verso). A good impression of this scarce print.

Jacobowitz and Stepanek describe the various symbols in the print, but cannot determine the subject of this enigmatic image. Bartsch 34; Hollstein 145; Aumüller 120; Jacobowitz/Stepanek 104.
