Condition B+: repaired tear in left margin into central image; restored loss in lower right corner; repaired tears at edges, some affecting image; creases and minor abrasions in image; loss in upper right corner, not affecting image; trimmed. Paper. Matted and framed. One of two panels, Le Fruit and La Fleur, in which "Mucha pays tribute to his main source of inspiration, nature's bounty and feminine grace . . . there is surprisingly little ornamentation" (Lendl p. 198). Despite this, the viewer's eye is drawn to the intricate rendering of the lace on the maiden's gown and the exquisite detail, color and shading of the flowers.
