Condition A-: small tear at right edge; very light foxing spots in margins; La Plume blind stamp in upper left corner; full margins; hand-signed and numbered 12/46 by the artist in pencil. Paper. An early, Symbolist piece by Mucha, that was used for the cover of the magazine La Soleil du Dimanche. The image was instantly popular, and publishers vied for the privileged opportunity to produce it as a collector's print. La Plume announced on April 15, 1896, that it would be issuing the print, but it turned out that Arnould, a competitor, finally got the project.
