Plate 166 of Les Maitres de l'Affiche (the poster was printed in 1897). This biblical-theme play, written by Edmond Rostand, has been long forgotten by the theatrical world. All that survives of its memory is Mucha's excellent poster. A classic image of his with its halo, mosaic-effect and signature flowing hair and inventive typography, it also boasts an unusual attribute -- the heavy use of blue, a color rarely seen in his work.
