This large canvas is an excellent example from Al Loving's early 1980s Wild Goose Lake series of abstraction. He exhibited paintings from this series in the 1983 Cleveland Museum of Art exhibition, Seven American Artists, and later at June Kelly Gallery, New York in 1988 and 1989.
