Additional Details

In 1979 Andy Warhol designed the U.N. Stamp to benefit the United Nations Disaster Relief Organization. These offset lithographs, accompanied by a United States or Swiss stamp with a first-day cover cancellation were issued as signed editions of 1,000 (see Feldman-Schellmann II.185). This design was ultimately not chosen for the project.
