This poster features Warhol's multicolor image of Bella Abzug donning her signature hat, that graced the October 6, 1977 cover of Rolling Stone magazine. A pioneer of the Women's movement, lawyer, and activist, Abzug served New York in the House of Representatives from 1971-1977. She was an acquaintance of Warhol and attended his events with actress Shirley MacLaine. The Polaroid test shots she sat for in preparation for this magazine cover have also been sold at auction.
