ANDY WARHOL (1930-1987)

Warhol's Index Book.
4to, publisher's 1/4 black cloth-covered boards with holographic Brillo cover label. Profusely illustrated. With the assistance of Stephen Shore, Paul Morrissey, Ondine, and Nico. Factory photographs by Billy Name. New York: Random House, 1967. First printing.

All but one of the pop-ups and moveables are present and in working order: Pop-up castle; Accordion noisemaker; Bi-plane; Chelsea Girls circular ad on spring; Geodesic paper "balloon" with string and rubber band inside balloon; Velvet Underground disc (unattached); Rainbow nose fold-out; Hunt's Tomato Paste pop-up; and Balloon degraded as usual resulting in the pages now glued together about one-third way out from gutter as with virtually every copy. Missing are the Andy Warhol perforated stamps.
