Additional Details

Warhol's Endangered Species portfolio was exhibited at the Museum of Natural History in New York upon its publishing, and some of the prints were donated to wildlife organizations for fundraising purposes. Warhol would go on to illustrate the picture book Vanishing Animals by Dr. Kurt Benirschke of the San Diego Zoo. He would create another portfolio from these illustrations.
