This unpublished print relates to Warhol's offset lithograph Flowers, 1964, created as an announcement for an exhibition at Leo Castelli Gallery, New York, in an edition of approximately 300 (Feldman 6). The current work is not listed in Feldman.
These works were based on a photograph of hibiscus flowers by Patricia Caulfield in Modern Photography, June 1964. Warhol also made paintings of this subject.
