Condition B+: repaired tears and creases in margins; creases, abrasions and restoration along vertical and horizontal folds; minor abrasions in image. Although primarily a portrait painter, Zinkeisen executed a number of posters for the British Railway companies and the London Underground. She was also an illustrator and muralist, designing for luxury liners such as The Queen Mary and The Queen Elizabeth. Her skill as a portraitist is on display here, as she adeptly captures the stylish people and personalities that can be found visiting this North Yorkshire spa. It is a perambulation snapshot of the area in front of the Sun Pavilion which had just opened in 1933. Furness vol. 6 p. 205.
