253/4x393/4 inches. Do Nha Quoc-Gia.
Condition A-: minor repaired tears in margins.
From the era after the French occupation of Vietnam and before the onset of the war with the United States, this tourist poster (and the following six lots) represent a fleeting time when the Vietnamese were politically in charge of their own country. Perhaps this explains why they are all of such grace and beauty, focussing on the indigenous tribes and their way of life in the mountains. Here, clutching a black tree branch, a woman in yellow and white is pondering life as women bathe their children next to deer grazing at a cascading waterfall; lettering in red.
