A year-round resort as represented by this bi-seasonal image: A blue and white winter scene of a skier between the trees and a verdant summer golfing view divided by a brown hiking cane and ski pole. With the demise of the Grand Hotel of Font-Romeu, the resort still offered multi-seasonal activities. At 1800 meters above sea level, it was the site where the French athletes chose to train for the 1968, high altitude, Mexico Olympics. Hillion p. 62-3.
