Condition B+: time-staining and tape residue in margins; minor repaired tears and creases in margins.
Kurvers trained as an architect, but worked primarily as a lithographer, decorative painter, and book and poster designer. He began his career in The Hague, moved to Haarlem and then settled in Amsertdam in 1918 where he worked for the Department of Public Works. He is best remembered for post boxes he designed for Amsterdam, and three covers he deisgned for Wendigen during the 1920s. Modern Dutch 69, Euro Deco p. 377.
