Scarce second state sectioned and linen-backed at a contemporary date. First issued in 1755, the map was reissued from the same plate with various changes in 1768, 1775, 1783 and 1794. This second state has the addition of the changes enacted by the French and Indian War, with the following added to the 3-columned text in the lower right: "The Boundaries of the Provinces since the Conquest of Canada, are laid down in this Map as settled by the King in Council."
