Additional Details

Map is from the second woodblock cut of the map. The volvelles in this copy are printed on the blank side of contemporary manuscript leaves. North America, shown as a thin strip running East-West on both the map and one of the volvelles, is identified on the map as Baccalearum, after the cod-fishing in the region.
