Additional Details

This issue not noted by Shirley. Mapping is similar to Shirley 125, but with substantial if superficial differences. For example, all the waves in the oceans have been removed, cherubs are redrawn, and there is no date in the cartouche. The map has the "Ioktan gentes" reading which is found in Shirley''s second state. The map originally appeared in the eighth volume of a polyglot Bible printed by Plantin. This map bears a different volume number entirely, "Tom. VI, pag 553."
