During the war, working as an official war poster designer, Games produced a lot of images which delivered difficult messages in a crude and sometimes morbid way. With the Allied victory in the war his style totally changed. This recruiting poster shows the bold, victorious, proud profile of a soldier, against an allegorical blue-sky background, indicative of the clearing of the clouds of war. An emblematic image for a powerful country sure of it's army.
