In a style that clearly bespeaks an apprenticeship in the studios of Eugene Grasset, Herbinier depicts a young woman in profile enjoying a bunch of wild roses. Drawn using flat tones and shades of brown, this archetypical Art Nouveau image, with its thick outlining, has been rendered as if designed for a stained-glass window.
