Michael designed posters for the LNER railroad as well as the White Star Line. Whether depicting sports, beach scenes or elegant evening tableaux, his subjects are vivaciously rendered in a style that radiates England's optimism in the best tradition of pre-war travel posters. His realistic style, a contemporary Art Deco mannerism, focuses as much on fashion as on lifestyle.
