"Although British-Petroleum . . . never rivalled the advertising achievements of Shell in the interwar period, they soon learnt how to portray oil products in the visual language of Modernism. [Here] the colour range and use of abstract composition is similar to the style associated with McKnight Kauffer, but it includes the unusual characteristic of Ashley's designs of a right to left movement" (Havinden p. 19). Rare. We could find no other copies at auction.
