Letter Signed, with a 3-line Autograph Postscript, to furrier Peter Smith, acknowledging receipt of the package of furs from Mr. [James] Kipp, remarking that the bear pelts were too thick, sending a list of pelts received and their values, promising to advance cash to him, requesting that he not mention the advance to the Kanes, and suggesting that he buy any pelts at good prices and especially muskrat. 3 pages, 4to, with integral address leaf; seal tear at bottom edge of address leaf with minor loss to text.
