This print was acquired directly from Abbott in the 1960s and has been in a private collection. According to The Work of Atget: Modern Times (where this image is reproduced as fig. 65), the legend on the painted carnival flat says "there is a fire in the jungle." Atget's beautiful, but slightly eerie, final series.
