This ad for the Yellow Book, printed in black on yellow paper, is one of at least three variations. Beardsley had employed the image of the woman holding her hat sixth months earlier on a British poster for the same publication; what varies are the different vignettes at the bottom (the pictures on the cover of the Yellow Book for that particular month), and the table of contents for the monthly issue.
