As part of an extraordinarily successful advertising campaign designed to increase its use by the public, the posters issued by the London Underground during this time focused on destinations within and directly outside of London. The intent was for riders to associate leisure activities with subway travel, in addition to work commutes. This poster, one of 54 that Cooper did for the Underground, features a man riding a "high-wheeler" bicycle, encouraging a trip to one of London's museums.
