Folio, lacking engraved title and portrait of Aesop, with engraved arms of dedicatee (torn with loss and crudely mounted with margins extended), Life of Aesop illustrated with thirty-one full page engraved plates, most signed in the plate by Thomas Dudley; text illustrated with 109 half-page etchings by Francis Barlow with captions by Aphra Ben; typographical title trimmed to ruled borders with old repairs and losses to surface, other tears and stains; almost every page with tears, stains, and paper repairs, bound in 20th century leatherette, a good candidate for restoration, 11 1/2 x 7 1/4 in.
