Folio, two parts in one volume; first edition of the eighth book, second edition of the ninth; each title printed in black and red with woodcuts; Octavo Libro illustrated with text woodcuts; text of both parts printed in two columns in gothic type throughout; bound in full 18th century straight-grain citron morocco, tooled in gilt, edges gilt and gauffered; some worming to bottom blank margin at the end of the ninth book; Marquess of Blandford's copy, purchased by Richard Heber from the bookseller Triphook who bought it in the White Knight sale in 1819 (notes to this effect on top outside corner of front free flyleaf); acquired from Heber by Sir Thomas Phillipps; sold in the 1988 auction of the Library of Philip Robinson (with auction catalogue listing inserted); 11 1/4 x 7 1/2 in.
