"On Friday the sixth instant a Party of Men in a Boat from our Fleet on Lake Champlain went on Shore at or near Wind Mill Point & were attacked by the Enemy which occasioned the Cannonade mentioned in my former Letter. We had three Men killed & six Wounded. General Arnold with the Fleet is off Isle au Motte. No shipping of the Enemy has yet appeared . . ."
