Octavo, forty-one numbered leaves of text illustrated with forty-one original silver gelatin prints captioned by hand; presentation copy with an inscription in the same hand that titled the photos, to Alice Baker (1865-1913) from an otherwise unidentified "Katharine" who we may expect is the author and compiler; the photos taken during a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and include images of Memphis, Egypt; a boat trip on the Nile; Jaffa; Jerusalem; Jericho; Hebron; Shiloh; Nazareth; Damascus; Baalbek; and Beirut; bound in full cloth, titled in gilt on the spine and front board, aeg; with the bookplate of English-born architect George Strafford Mills (1866-1939) who married the dedicatee Alice Baker after moving to Toledo, Ohio in 1885; 8 1/2 x 5 3/4 in.
