Apollo 11 Launch Operations Checklist. A single sheet approximately 5.5x8 inches, being pages 2-7 and 2-8 from the checklist. Side 2-7 has 25 steps performed or monitored by Commander Neil Armstrong just after the crew entered Earth orbit during a launch simulation. There are also over 12 other steps carried out by Mike Collins and Buzz Aldrin. Side 2-8 has a manuscript correction by Collins and over 30 steps he completed. The sheet is from Section 2 titled "Boost-Insertion-TLI" and was part of the complete manual that Armstrong and the Apollo 11 crew used in the CM Apollo Mission Simulator at MSC in Houston, Texas. Page 2-7 has been inscribed and signed: "Used in training for Apollo XI, Buzz Aldrin." The letter reads in part: "The entire checklist, including this actual page, was used by all three Apollo 11 crew members: Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and myself. This section in particular was extensively used by Neil Armstrong and Mike Collins ... This training was a key step which enabled our flight to make the first manned lunar landing on July 20, 1969."
