Additional Details

Perhaps no other single document can chronicle the extraordinary amount of time the astronauts and ground support teams spent to accomplish a lunar landing mission. Although not listed, the crew spent most weekends reviewing flight documents or traveling to their next assignment. Those were some of the "unwritten rules" associated with crew assignments. Inscribed and signed by Apollo 16 LMP Charles Duke on the first page of the calendar with: "The start of two years of training, Charles M. Duke, Jr., Apollo 16" and on the final calendar page with: "Wow!! Finally launch day, Charles M. Duke, Jr., Apollo 16."
