Additional Details

The Service Propulsion System (SPS) was the large rocket engine located at the end of the Service Module (SM) and provided the means for the Apollo lunar crews to return to earth in addition to course corrections and other flight maneuvers. A series of four of these instruments gave the astronauts the indication whether the SPS engine values were closed or open for both the A and B systems. This indicator is from the CM ground trainer used by the Apollo astronauts located at the NASA center in Houston, Texas.
