Apollo VIII Manned Flight Awareness (MFA) medallion. Approximately 1.5 inch circular medallion illustrated with the busts of the Apollo 8 crew , their names, and the mission dates. The reverse side states: "In appreciation for your contribution to the Apollo Saturn Project. The Apollo 8 crew carried metal in the medallion on Man's first flight to the Moon." Medallion is mounted on an 8x10 inch MFA color certificate with three paragraphs of text and the printed signature of Apollo 8 commander Frank Borman. Np: 1968
