Her search for a lawyer was a continuation of the legal problems that haunted her. The Typed Letters were obviously typed by Josephine herself, with numerous typos and corrections. The Note signed "Josephine" is on verso of a postcard of the Statue of Liberty, the other on the margins of a typed train schedule.
