Square 4to, original boards after a design by Herbert Bayer, spine perished, edges rubbed, portion of a previous paper cover adhered to front cover affecting the "3" in lower right corner; internally quite clean. one of 2000 copies in german from a total edition of 2600, with an additional 300 each printed in English and in Russian, though it is believed not all were actually printed. Published on the occasion of the 1923 Bauhaus exhibition and highlighting the accomplishments of Gropius's famous school to that date. Contributors include Walter Gropius, Lyonel Feininger, Paul Klee, Gertrud Grunow, Wassily Kandinsky, Làzlò Moholy-Nagy, Oskar Schlemmer, Johannes Itten, Georg Muche, Lothar Schreyer, Gerhard Marcks and Adolf Meyer.
